  3. RISS ICON PAK -- 2001 ICONS!

  6. For help installing this product, we've listed additional
  7. instructions below.  Please read the section titled
  8. "INSTALLING THE ICONS".

  13. ABOUT THE RISS ICON PAK
  14. -----------------------

  16. The graphical, point-and-click nature of Windows goes
  17. a long way towards making computers easier to use.  The
  18. use of graphical elements, to represent features and 
  19. functions, helps us to recognize what we want to do and
  20. be able to do it without memorizing commands, key 
  21. sequences, and menus.
  22.  
  23. Fortunately, users are able to customize Windows by
  24. installing their own graphical symbols, called ICONS.  
  25. This allows users to customize Windows with symbols
  26. that are meaningful to each individual user.  It also
  27. allows people to personalize their computer system.
  28.  
  29. Unfortunately, most of us are either not very artistic,
  30. or don't have the time to sit around drawing new icons.
  31. Enter the RISS Icon Pak...
  32.  
  33. The RISS Icon Pak is a package containing 2001 unique
  34. and interesting Icon images for use with Windows.
  35. The icons are conveniently arranged, categorized, and
  36. divided into separate libraries for quick and easy
  37. location of icons.
  38.        
  39. The RISS Icon Pak comes complete with its own Icon
  40. Viewer utility, for quickly and easily perusing the
  41. icon libraries, as well as a completly automated
  42. "SETUP" program that performs installation on "auto
  43. pilot."

  51. Rhode Island Soft Systems, Inc. has developed several 
  52. other Windows products, including Windows animated
  53. Screen Saver collections, and TrueType Font Pak 
  54. collections.   Of course, several new products are 
  55. already in the works, including Wallpaper collections,
  56. and more Screen Savers.

  66. INSTALLING THE ICONS
  67. --------------------
  68.  
  69. The 2001 Icons! product is shipped with a comprehensive 
  70. installation program to automate traditional installation.  
  71. To install the package, you must be in the Windows 
  72. environment.  You will use the SETUP program supplied as 
  73. part of the package, to install it.
  74.  
  75. From Program Manager's main window, select "File".  This 
  76. will cause a menu to drop down.  Next, select "Run...".
  77. A dialog box will pop up requeting a "Command Line".
  78.  
  79. If the files are on a floppy disk, insert the diskette
  80. into the A:  or B:  drive, as appropriate and type either
  81. "A:\SETUP" or "B:\SETUP", respectively (do not type the
  82. quotes).  You must execute the "SETUP" program that is
  83. located on the diskette.

  85. If the files are in a directory on a hard drive, enter the
  86. full drive and directory path to where the files are located
  87. such as "C:\TEMP\SETUP".

  89. Please note that these are just examples -- the directory
  90. names and drives will certainly be different for each
  91. individual computer.  The above examples are for 
  92. illustrative purposes only.

  94. After entering the command to execute SETUP, press the
  95. ENTER key or click on the "OK" button.  At this point SETUP
  96. will handle the entire process of installing the files.
  97.  
  98. That's all there is to it!  The installation program 
  99. automatically detects the necessary system settings, and
  100. performs the installation unattended.  The icons in this
  101. package will automatically be copied to the hard drive,
  102. and ready for use.
